Collaboration between Nu-Tech Engineering in Poole and their client QVF has led to delighted customers all round - and more efficient production for the international manufacturer.

Employing nearly 600 people worldwide - and a member of DeDietrich Process Systems, QVF is a leading supplier of process plant and equipment for the chemical, pharmaceutical and associated industries.

So when they needed to source a hygienic stainless steel levelling foot for their new reactor system, it had to match their own exacting standards.

Designed for rigorous use within the chemical and cryogenic fields, the new QVF unit needed to be highly robust and manufactured in a way that prevented cross contamination.

Paul Lewis, Project engineer with QVF said “We had to consider the dangers associated with chemicals being tested coming into contact with any residue left on the adjustable levelling feet.

Chris Baker of Nu-Tech explained, “QVF had seen one of our stock items and felt that it could do the job they required, subject to a little development. So our designers worked with their engineers and the required model is the result.”

QVF report that their new reactor units are being met with approval from their customers and also that the assembly time for the reactor has been improved because of the new levelling foot design.
